What we've been up to lately
We hosted the Halloween edition of our moms group and all the kiddies looked so cute in their costumes! Although Fin was NOT very happy to be wearing his monkey costume. Do you think he KNEW??!!
The Shriner's monkey ran away before i got a group pic! His talented mama sewed that costume!
Worms in dirt cupcakes.
The last 2 mummy dogs that Kathy made. I immediately ate them after taking this pic.
Katie's baby will be making his/her arrival in about a month! SO excited!!
After the storm blew through...
My mom made a prime rib dinner for my 31st birthday. Most of my birthday "cutting the cake" pictures have been taken at this table, and now my boy is sitting on it. Matt's looking goofy in his Movember 'stache.
Out for Vietnamese food on my actual birthday...
....also the longest that Fin's ever sat in a restaurant highchair! With some blankie-support.

He has no idea what's about to happen.

Mommy blogger FAIL
I'm really sucking in the blog post department. I can't even keep my one weekly commitment of Fashion Friday!! ugh. Besides, now that Fin is more active I'm finding it a bit boring just plopping him on the couch to take pictures of his different outfits. So as of now I am officially abolishing Fashion Friday posts and will blog whenever I have time.
So here's what we've been up to lately.
A LOT of playing.
A visit from my dear friend Laura. Our parents have known each other since before we were born. It'll be great that our children will know each other. Can't wait to meet her baby girl that's due to arrive in February!!
Must cheer for hometown team! We're teaching him not to be a fairweather fan.
Testing out Henry's Jolly Jumper, since his Jumperoo is now at our house!
First night sleeping without being swaddled! Now that he can roll over we thought it would be safer if he had his arms free. Although his flailing arms and constant urge to roll seems to be waking him up more frequently. Growing up is hard work!

Found him like this after a nap on his 5 month birthday! Bye-bye blankies at nap time!
Buying Fin his first lollipop. Go big or go home! HA!

Happy 5 Month Birthday Fin!
My boy is 18 lbs.
My boy loves to grab Daddy's glasses.
My boy is now rolling over front to back with more confidence. Found him on his belly after his second nap this morning!
My boy loves watching Bacon & Poppy play.
My boy is showing interest in what Mommy & Daddy are having for dinner.
My boy is jumping in the Jumperoo.
My boy is cooing, babbling, screeching.
My boy is sucking all his fingers like there's no tomorrow and rubbing his gums like it's going out of style.
My boy smells nice.
My boy splashes and kicks in the tub with his "I'm having so much fun" face on.
My boy has cheeks that are almost edible.
My boy can cry loud when he wants to.
My boy is smiley.
My boy is no longer swaddled to sleep at night.
My boy enjoys having his arms free in his new Grobag.
My boy loves Elvis Costello.
My boy loves to be sung to.
My boy is happy. (I think!)
We are happy.

Fashion Friday
Wow...it's Friday already. I missed posting last weeks' Fashion Friday because Fin had his 4-month vaccinations on the Wednesday and then had a difficult couple of days afterward. Saturday we attended a friends' wedding ceremony but didn't make it to the reception because my Grandma had gone into the hospital.
She passed away Monday morning.
Viewing was on Wednesday.
Funeral on Thursday, yesterday.
I'd like to do a blog post about her later but not right now.
In the meantime, please enjoy this uber-adorable picture of Fin at the wedding.

Fashion Friday
While I slept in this morning, Matt took the liberty of picking an outfit and photographing our little model for Fashion Friday!
Daddy's fave...sweater vests!!
On a side note: Just wanted to point out a couple milestones for Fin! Yesterday he laughed for the very first time! He did it a couple times for Matt and a couple times for me. Up till then, he has done the muted laugh where his mouth is wide open but nothing is coming out. Can't wait until he laughs again!! Another big one is that today he napped in his CRIB for the first time!! Yesterday he napped twice in the basement spare bedroom where we camped out while the house was being cleaned. Why is this such a big deal, you say? Hasn't the kid napped before? In a playard? In a swing? In a bouncy chair? NO! Fin naps GREAT in his carseat/stroller when we are out and about but at home, he would ONLY sleep in my arms! And that is why we go out almost daily!
It's a great day today!!

Fashion Friday
It's starting to get chilly at times so no more going out in just a onesie! Gotta wear pants just like everyone else.
Poppy wanted in on the Fashion Friday action.
One day we'll take Fin to the Disneyland in Hong Kong....even though it's supposed to be the crappiest one of all!
